Carroll High School senior Jaydon Capers has officially committed to continuing her volleyball career at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The standout athlete made her decision official during a signing ceremony held at the school, surrounded by family, teammates, and coaches.
Capers, known for her versatility on the court, has been a key player for Carroll's volleyball program throughout her high school career. Her athleticism and court awareness have drawn attention from several college programs, but she ultimately chose Missouri S&T for its strong academic reputation and competitive athletic environment. The Miners compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference at the NCAA Division II level.
During the signing event, Capers expressed gratitude for the support she has received from her coaches and family. She noted that the opportunity to play at the next level while pursuing a degree in engineering was a major factor in her decision. Missouri S&T is widely recognized for its engineering and technology programs, making it a strong fit for her academic goals.
Carroll head coach praised Capers for her leadership and work ethic, saying she has been a role model for younger players on the team. Her commitment marks the latest in a series of college signings for the school's athletic programs this year. Capers will join the Miners ahead of the 2025 season.
