LUDINGTON - The Ludington Area School District Board of Education is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the proposed budget for the 2026-27 school year ahead of its regular meeting on Monday, June 15, at 6 p.m.
The hearing will give community members a chance to review and comment on the district's financial plan before the board takes a formal vote. Alongside the budget discussion, board members are expected to consider a contract for the district's School Resource Officer, a position that provides law enforcement presence in district buildings. The agreement outlines the roles, responsibilities, and cost-sharing between the school system and local law enforcement.
In addition, the board will look at several technology purchases aimed at upgrading classroom equipment and infrastructure. The proposed items include new devices for students and staff, as well as network improvements to support digital learning. District officials have said the investments are part of a long-term plan to keep technology current and reliable.
The meeting will take place at the district's administrative offices. The public is welcome to attend the hearing and the regular session that follows.
