PicoCELA Inc., listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker PCLA, has introduced a new wireless mesh technology that aims to change how businesses handle network connectivity. The company made the announcement on April 24 at the WiFi World Congress USA 2026, where it also showed off its latest hardware lineup.
The new system includes two main devices. The PCWL-0501 is built for indoor use, while the PCWL-0510 is designed for outdoor environments. Both models use PicoCELA's own mesh technology, which the company says offers better reliability and coverage compared to traditional wireless networks. Instead of relying on a single central router, mesh networks use multiple nodes that talk to each other, creating a web of coverage that can reduce dead zones and handle more devices at once.
PicoCELA's approach is aimed at large enterprises that need stable connections across wide areas, such as warehouses, office campuses, or outdoor event spaces. The company claims its technology can handle high data loads without slowing down, even when many users are connected at the same time.
The launch comes at a time when demand for better wireless infrastructure is growing. More companies are moving to cloud-based systems and using more connected devices, which puts pressure on older network setups. PicoCELA's new hardware is designed to meet that need without requiring major changes to existing wiring or infrastructure.
PicoCELA is based in Japan and has been working on wireless networking solutions for several years. The company went public on the Nasdaq in 2024. With this new product line, it is positioning itself as a serious player in the enterprise networking space, competing with larger, more established names. The company did not announce pricing or availability dates for the new models at the event.
