World Wide Technology Raceway, Local Shelters Partner for Third Annual Animal Adoption Promotion

World Wide Technology Raceway, Local Shelters Partner for Third Annual Animal Adoption Promotion

MADISON, Ill. (July 30, 2026) - World Wide Technology Raceway is partnering with the Humane Society of Missouri and Helping Strays of Monroe County this August to help shelter dogs find permanent homes. The promotion marks the third year of the collaboration.

Throughout the month of August, the first 200 people who adopt a dog from either shelter will receive four tickets to the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 race. The goal is to encourage adoption while giving new pet owners a chance to enjoy a day at the track.

"We are excited to continue this tradition," said a track representative. "It is a simple way to support local shelters and give families a fun reward for opening their homes to a rescue dog."

Both shelters expect higher traffic during the promotion. Staff members note that the tickets often motivate people who have been thinking about adoption to take the final step. The Humane Society of Missouri and Helping Strays will have adoption counselors available to help match families with the right dog.

The NASCAR race weekend is scheduled for late August. The adoption drive runs from August 1 through August 31, or while supplies of ticket packages last.
