Ulta Beauty Names Kelly Garcia as Chief Technology Officer

BOLINGBROOK, Ill., July 14, 2026 -- Ulta Beauty has named Kelly Garcia as its new Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. Garcia will oversee the company's technology strategy, digital innovation, and information systems as the retailer continues to expand its omnichannel presence.

Garcia brings over two decades of experience in technology leadership, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Digital and Technology at a major retail firm. Her background includes driving large-scale digital transformations and modernizing legacy infrastructure. At Ulta, she will report directly to CEO Dave Kimbell and will be responsible for enhancing the guest experience across stores, e-commerce, and the Ulta Beauty app.

The appointment comes as Ulta Beauty invests heavily in personalized shopping tools, supply chain automation, and data analytics. Kimbell stated that Garcia's expertise in agile development and cloud-based platforms will help the company stay ahead of shifting consumer expectations.

Garcia replaces former CTO Bill Lake, who left the company earlier this year. In a statement, Garcia said she looks forward to building on Ulta's momentum by leveraging technology to create seamless and inspiring beauty experiences for guests.
