At NAB 2025, DZOFILM has introduced a groundbreaking prototype of the Vespid Prime II Full Frame Cinema Lens, which integrates Cooke /i-Technology for enhanced metadata capabilities. This innovative feature allows filmmakers to capture detailed lens information directly within their camera systems, streamlining the post-production process. Notably, for those whose cameras do not support the /i-Technology, the lens remains functional with basic metadata compatibility, ensuring versatility across various setups.
The Vespid Prime II lenses are being developed with the possibility of offering interchangeable mounts, including EF-Mount options, catering to a diverse range of camera systems. While these features are still in the early stages of development, the potential for user-swappable mounts could significantly enhance the lens's adaptability for filmmakers.
As the industry continues to evolve, DZOFILM's commitment to innovation is evident, positioning the Vespid Prime II as a promising tool for cinematographers seeking high-quality and technologically advanced lenses.
